Hugh Coltman
British singer born in Swindon, Wiltshire, on May 26, 1972, Hugh Coltman sang
and played in the band The Hoax, before settling in Paris. After four albums
with this blues-rock band, he joined Heez Bus, before embarking on a solo career
in 2004. His 2008 album Stories from the Safe House brought him to the attention
of French audiences, in a style that blends blues, soul and jazz. After the
nostalgic reformation of The Hoax between 2008 and 2010, Hugh Coltman
collaborated with singer Babet, then with jazz keyboardist Eric Legnini in his
