An androgynous, transgender American artist born in Chicago on September 5,
1986, Ezra Furman formed the indie rock band Ezra Furman & the Harpoons while
studying at university. After their first self-produced effort, Beat Beat Beat
(2006), the band released three further albums and a compilation before
splitting up in 2011. A prolific musician, Ezra Furman opened a solo interlude
with the releases of The Year of No Returning (2012) and Day of the Dog (2013).
His style, the fruit of wide-ranging influences, remains original and personal,
