Zoe Rahman, born on January 20, 1971 in Chichester, West Sussex, England, is an
English jazz composer and pianist. She began playing classical piano at age four
and later developed an interest in jazz during her teenage years. Rahman studied
at the Royal Academy of Music and earned a music degree from St Hugh's College,
University of Oxford. In 2001, she released her debut album The Cynic. Her
second album, Melting Pot, was released in July 2006 and won the Jazz Album of
