Yu Junjian, born on April 16, 1956 in Guilin, Guangxi, China, is a singer. He
joined the Guilin Song and Dance Troupe in 1971 and later became part of the
Chinese People's Liberation Army Naval Song and Dance Troupe in 1979. He
graduated from both China Conservatory of Music and Peking University. In
December 2002, he served as chairman of the China Federation of Literary and Art
Circles. Yu Junjian was also politically active, serving as a member of the 9th,
10th, 11th, and 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political
Consultative Conference.
