Yoyoy Villame
Roman Tesorio Villame, known professionally as Yoyoy Villame, amd born on
November 18, 1932, in Calape, Bohol Province, Philippines, was a singer and
actor. He began composing songs during his elementary days and later became a
jeepney driver. His first recording, "Magellan", released in 1972, became a
top-selling record in the Visayas-Mindanao region. Villame signed with Vicor
Records and established his unique style blending Filipino folk melodies with
