Born in Shenyang, Liaoning, China on December 15, 1996, Xu Geyang is a singer
and songwriter who came to prominence in 2016 as a contestant on the first
season of televised talent show Sing! China. While she became a fan favorite,
there were controversies surrounding her private life including rumors of a sex
tape with a Sing! China judge, which was revealed to be false. Xu Geyang
remained a favorite with viewers although critics were less than kind to her
