Weeping Willows, a Swedish rock band formed in 1995, originated from Magnus
Carlson and Thomas Sundgren's involvement in a cover band playing country music
and rockabilly. The duo joined Stefan Sundström’s Apache band, leading to the
formation of Weeping Willows, named after a line in Johnny Cash's "Big River".
Their debut album, Broken Promise Land, produced by Pål Svenre, was released on
October 3, 1997, and featured collaborations with notable musicians. The album
