German new wave band, UKW, was formed in 1979 by Peter Hubert, Andreas
Schwarz-Ruszczynski, and Andreas Koch. The group's lineup stabilized with Peer
Gerlach and Thomas Schütze in February 1981 and the group gained early
recognition by winning the Berlin Senate Rock Contest, leading to their first
single "Bleib Doch Bei Mir" released in December 1981. Their debut album
UltraKurzWelle, produced by Teldec and released in 1982, featured the hit single
