Transtic Nerve was formed in November 1995 in Japan by guitarist Tal, bassist Ryo, and drummer Masaki, with vocalist Taka and guitarist Masato joining shortly thereafter; the group identified as a visual kei rock band. Their breakthrough came with the release of the single "Shindou" in 1999, followed by the debut album Transonic Vision the same year, which established their presence in the Japanese rock scene.
