Toshifumi Hinata, born 23 February 1955 in Tokyo, Japan, is a Japanese composer
and DJ whose work spans ambient and electronic music. After completing high
school at Gakushuin in 1973, he studied in the United Kingdom and later in the
United States, attending Northland College, Berklee College of Music, and the
University of Minnesota Duluth, where he deepened his classical piano training
and compositional techniques. His professional breakthrough came in 1985 with
the release of the album Sarah’s Crime under Alpha Records, followed by Summer
Cat (1986) and Reality in Love (1986)...
