Tinsley Ellis is an American blues guitarist, singer and songwriter, born on
June 4, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia. Inspired as a teenager by artists such as B.B.
King, Freddie King and Duane Allman, he began playing in local bands in the
1970s before co-founding the blues-rock band The Heartfixers in 1981, with whom
he recorded several acclaimed albums on the Southern blues scene. He launched
