Thursday, an American post‑hardcore group from New Brunswick, New Jersey, formed
in 1998 by vocalist Geoff Rickly, guitarist Tom Keeley, bassist Tim Payne,
drummer Tucker Rule, and guitarist Bill Henderson. The band released its debut
EP Summer Tour in 1999, followed by the album Waiting the same year, which
introduced the raw sound that would define their early work. After Henderson’s
departure, Steve Pedulla joined, and the band signed to Victory Records,
releasing Full Collapse in 2001, which reached number 178 on the Billboard 200.
