The Tigers, a Japanese rock band formed in 1967 during the Group Sounds era,
featured Kenji Sawada on lead vocals, Ittoku Kishibe on bass, and Shiro Kishibe
on guitar. Initially named The Funnies, the group was founded in 1966 and made
their first TV appearance on November 15, 1966, on The Hit Parade. The band was
renamed The Tigers by recommendation of the show's director Koichi Sugiyama, who
later composed many of their songs. Their debut single "シーサイド・バウンド(Seaside
