The New Cities, a Canadian rock band originating from Trois-Rivières, Quebec,
formed on November 15, 2005. The group initially recorded their first EP in
early 2006 with producer Steve Nadeau and embarked on tours across Quebec and
Ontario. In October 2008, they signed with Sony Music Canada following
collaborations with producer Greig Nori. Their debut album Lost in City Lights
was released in May 2009, featuring the single "Dead End Countdown", which
peaked at Number 16 on the Canadian Hot 100 and won a SOCAN award for "Music
