The Monochrome Set
One of the more interesting UK bands to emerge in the post-punk era of the
late-1970s and early-1980s, The Monochrome Set established a devoted following
with their arty approach to rock. Singer and songwriter Bid and bass player Andy
Warren were at school together, while Lester Square was at Hornsey Art College
forming a band, The B-Sides, with Stuart Goddard (Adam Ant). They were joined by
Andy Warren and Bid and The Monochrome Set duly emerged - via The Zarbies and
