The Long Blondes were formed in Sheffield, United Kingdom, in 2003 by guitarist
Dorian Cox, bassist Reenie Hollis, guitarist Emma Chaplin, vocalist Kate
Jackson, and drummer Screech Louder (born Mark Turvey). The band began with the
local release of "New Idols" on Thee Sheffield Phonographic Corporation in July
2004, followed by "Autonomy Boy" and "Giddy Stratospheres" on Angular. Their
