The Icarus Line, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1998, began as a
high‑school rock collective that evolved from the group Kanker Sores; the
founding lineup featured Joe Cardamone on vocals, Aaron North on guitar, Lance
Arnao on bass, and Aaron Austin on drums. The band’s breakthrough arrived with
the 1998 EP Red & Black Attack, released on the New American Dream label,
