The Bolshoi
London‑based post‑punk, gothic rock, and alternative band The Bolshoi was
fronted by Trevor Tanner. After forming in 1984 with drummer Jan Kalicki and
bassist Graham Cox, the group released the single "Sob Story" and the mini‑album
Giants in 1985, establishing an early cult following through support slots for
the Cult and the March Violets. The 1986 debut studio album Friends expanded the
band’s lineup to include keyboardist Paul Clark, and the group toured the United
