The Apartments
Formed in Brisbane in 1978, Australian indie rock band The Apartments has Peter
Milton Walsh as its sole constant member. Originally a quartet consisting of P.
M. Walsh (vocals, guitar), Michael O'Connell (guitar), Peter Whitby (bass) and
Peter Martin (drums), its name comes from the Billy Wilder film The Apartment
(1960). A former member of The Go-Betweens, Peter Milton Walsh and his new band
signed the EP The Return of the Hypnotist to the Able label in May 1979, before
