Textures is a Dutch progressive metalcore band formed in 2001 in Tilburg, North
Brabant. The initial lineup included Jochem Jacobs and Bart Hennephof (guitars),
Stef Broks (drums) and Richard Rietdijk (keyboards). The band's first major
breakthrough came with their debut album Polars, released under Listenable
Records, which won an Essent Award for "Most Promising Act" in 2004. In the
subsequent years, Textures released several albums including Drawing Circles
(2006) and Silhouettes (2008), featuring notable songs such as "Millstone" and
