Domingo García Henríquez, known as Tatico Henriquez, was born on July 30, 1943,
in the Dominican Republic. He grew up in a poor family and learned to play the
accordion from his father, Juan Henríquez alias Bolo. Henriquez began performing
at local religious festivals and processions. In 1966, he joined Trío Reynoso
after the death of their accordionist Pedro Reynoso, marking his breakthrough
