Indie alternative rock band Syrup16g was formed in Tokyo, Japan in 1996. Founded
by Takashi Igarashi (guitar / vocals), Motoaki Satou (bass), and Daiki Nakahata
(drums), the group originally featured a vocalist but he left shortly after
formation. The group’s first release was a six-song demo EP, The Next Day, which
was followed by several years of playing live and building up a loyal fanbase.
The group signed a contract with Daizawa Records and released their debut album,
