Ricardo DaSilva II, known professionally as Swingfly, was born in New York and
later relocated to Stockholm, Sweden, in 1991, where he entered the burgeoning
hip‑hop scene. His first major exposure came in 1995 with the Euro‑disco hit
"Sweet Dreams" alongside Dr. Alban, which peaked at Number 12 on the Swedish
charts and charted in the Netherlands. In 1996 he contributed to several tracks
on ADL’s Absent Minded project, and later collaborated with the collective
Blacknuss, performing across Europe and the UK. Swingfly’s breakthrough on
