Stéphanie Lapointe is a Canadian singer and actress from Quebec. She sings in
the French language and gained national fame for winning the TV series 'Star
Academie' in 2004. Her performances on the show included an English language
cover of Green Day's 'American Idiot'.
She had various acting roles before 'Star Academie'. After her TV success she
made her album debut with 'Sur le Fil' in 2005, an album of mainly ballads
including the singles 'Nous Sommes' and 'La Mer'.
