Spock's Beard, an American progressive rock band from Los Angeles, California,
was formed in 1992 by brothers Neal and Alan Morse. The duo began recording
demos with Nick D'Virgilio on drums and Dave Meros on bass, releasing their
debut album The Light in 1995. This album featured long-form compositions like
"The Light" and "Go the Way You Go", earning praise from fans of progressive
rock. Neal Morse left Spock's Beard in 2002 to pursue a solo career, with Nick
