Spinetta y los Socios del Desierto, an Argentine rock band formed in 1994, was
composed of Luis Alberto Spinetta on guitar and vocals, Marcelo Torres on bass,
and Daniel Wirtz on drums. The group emerged during a period of significant
social and economic change in Argentina, marked by the aftermath of the AMIA
bombing and the "Efecto Tequila." Their debut performance took place at the
Velódromo de Buenos Aires on November 18, 1994, after six months of rehearsals.
