Soggy is a Reims-based metal band with a strong garage rock influence, formed in
1978 in the Cité des Sacres. Inspired mainly by The Stooges and Black Sabbath,
the band established a regional reputation in the early 1980s, and in 1981
released their only single, "Waiting for the War" and "47 Chromosomes ". Having
broken up in 1982, this band should logically have disappeared into the limbo of
rock history, like many of its congeners. In the 1990s, however, the group's 45
rpm record became a cult hit, selling like hotcakes among collectors. In 2008,
