Sinawe, a heavy metal/rock band from South Korea, was formed in 1986 by
guitarist Shin Daechul. The group is recognized as the first heavy metal band in
the country and has seen numerous lineup changes over the years. Their debut
album Heavy Metal Sinawe, released in March 1986, featured vocalist Yim Jae-beom
and sold 400,000 copies, establishing them as pioneers of Korean heavy metal.
The following year, Kim Jong-seo took over vocals for their second album Down
and Up. In 1988, Sinawe released a cover album of Shin Jung-hyeon's work,
