A member of the Marseilles group IAM, Shurik'N waited until 1998 to launch his solo career with the album Où Je Vis. Certified double gold in France, this album established Shurik'N as a solo artist. Following the release of La Garde (2000) with Faf Larage, Shurik'N turned his attention back to IAM. His second solo album, Tous M'Appellent Shu, was released in 2012 after extensive studio work.
