Shruti Haasan, born Shruti Haasan on 28 January 1986 in Chennai, India, began
her artistic journey under the guidance of her parents, Kamal Haasan and Sarika
Thakur, and trained in music at the Musicians Institute in California. Her debut
as a playback singer was in "Adiye Kolluthe" for the film Vaaranam Aayiram
(2008), followed by the 2009 single "Eenadu". She continued to contribute to
film soundtracks, singing "Yellae Lama" for 7 Aum Arivu (2011) and "Down Down"
for Race Gurram (2014), while also composing for her father's film Unnaipol
