Sheila Savithri Elizabeth Chandra was born on March 14, 1965 in Waterloo,
London, England. She began her career as an actress before transitioning to
music in the early 1980s. In 1982, Chandra formed the band Monsoon with Steve
Coe and Martin Smith, releasing their debut album Third Eye, which included the
hit single "Ever So Lonely" that peaked at Number 12 in the UK Singles Chart.
After Monsoon disbanded, Chandra released several albums on Indipop Records
