Sheavy
Sheavy is a Canadian stoner-metal group formed in 1993 in St. John’s,
Newfoundland and Labrador, originally under the name Green Machine before
adopting the moniker Sheavy in 1994. The early lineup featured vocalist Steve
Hennessey, guitarist Dan Moore, bassist Paul Gruchy, and drummer Ren Squires,
and they released a three-song EP in 1995 that led to the debut album Blue Sky
Mind in 1996 on Dallas Tarr Records. A subsequent deal with Rise Above Records
yielded The Electric Sleep (1998), Celestial Hi-Fi (2000), and Synchronized
