Sharda Sinha, born on October 1, 1952, in Hulas, Bihar, India, was a notable
Indian folk singer. She began her career singing Maithili folk songs and later
expanded to include Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Hindi languages. Her breakthrough came
with the release of Maithili Songs - Sharda Sinha in 1975. Throughout her
career, she released numerous albums including Birhi Basuriya (1989) and भवानी
दयानी (1992). She was known for her Chhath-related devotional songs such as
