San Fermin is the brainchild of Ellis Ludwig-Leone, former assistant to composer
Nico Muhly. For his partners, singers Allen Tate and Rae Cassidy, he wrote the
entirety of the band's debut album, released in 2013. A baroque pop suite for
twenty-two musicians, San Fermin was very well received by American critics and
reached number 18 on Billboard's Top "Heatseeekers" chart. April 2015 sees the
release of San Fermin's second album, Jackrabbit, featuring new singer and
multi-instrumentalist Charlene Kaye.
