Sarah Elizabeth "Sadie" Dupuis, known professionally as Sad13, was born on July
8, 1988 in the United States of America. She began her musical journey at a
young age, singing in choirs and playing piano before learning guitar at 13. Her
first song "Sixteen" charted briefly on Myspace in 2005. Dupuis formed the band
Quilty in 2006, releasing Clover/Coriander in 2010. She then pursued Speedy
Ortiz, writing their debut song "Ka-Prow" while teaching at Buck's Rock in 2011.
