Rubel (Rubel Brisolla, born 1991 in Volta Redonda, Rio de Janeiro) is a
Brazilian singer-songwriter, screenwriter, and director who emerged in the 2010s
with an intimate MPB voice-and-guitar approach before steadily widening his
palette. After moving to Rio de Janeiro as a child, he played in the band A
Corleones during his teens and later studied cinema at PUC-Rio, a background
