Reuben, an English rock band from Camberley, Surrey, formed in 1998 with
singer/guitarist Jamie Lenman, bassist Jon Pearce, and drummer Jason Wilson.
Initially known as Angel, the group released several demos before changing their
name to Reuben in March 2000 following a lineup change that brought in Mark
Lawton on drums. Their first release under the new name was the Pilot EP, issued
in January 2001. The band's breakthrough came with the release of their debut
album, Racecar Is Racecar Backwards (June 2004), which featured the singles
