Raúl Francisco Martínez‑Malo Jr., born 7 August 1965 in Miami, Florida, was an
American country singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose career spanned more
than two decades. Growing up in a bilingual household, he began performing
locally as a teenager, developing a powerful, expressive vocal style influenced
by country, soul, and Latin music. He was both the lead singer and songwriter
