Rake, an experimental rock group formed in 1989 in Fairfax, Virginia, was
founded by Jim Ayre (a.k.a. Vinnie Van Go‑Go), Bill Kellum, and Carl Moller
(a.k.a. C‑Man), who collectively explored noise and improvisational textures on
