Qntal
Qntal, a German electro-medieval band, was founded in 1991 by Ernst Horn and
Michael Popp. The project initially combined avant-garde electronics with
medieval instruments and female vocals. Qntal released their debut album Qntal I
in 1992, followed by Qntal II in 1995. After a tour as the opening act for Deine
Lakaien, Ernst Horn left the band in 1999 due to creative differences. Michael
Popp and Sigrid "Syrah" Hausen continued with Philipp Groth on keyboards,
releasing Qntal III – Tristan und Isolde in 2003. Notable albums include Qntal
