Q and Not U
Q and Not U was formed in Washington, D.C. in 1998 by John Davis (drums), Harris
Klahr (vocals, guitars), Christopher Richards (vocals, guitars), and Matt Borlik
(bass). The quartet began playing local shows in November 1998 and signed to
Dischord Records. Their debut No Kill No Beep Beep (2000) showcased rhythmic
compositions with dissonant guitars and danceable beats, gaining critical
attention. After Borlik left in 2001, the remaining trio released Different
Damage (2002) and Power (2004), expanding their sound with synths, melodicas,
