Potshot is a Japanese ska-punk band formed in Tokyo in 1995. The original lineup
included Ryoji Ariga on vocals, Yoshito Hirai on bass guitar, and Yoshinobu
Takegoshi on trombone. The group's debut album, Pots and Shots, was released in
October 1997 under Asian Man Records. The album was well-received, featuring
cover versions of "The Tears of a Clown" and "Since Yesterday," and showcased
their unique take on ska music with high tempos and powerful horn sections.
