Nicoletta Strambelli, known professionally as Patty Pravo, was born on
9 April 1948 in Venice, Veneto, and emerged as an Italian singer, songwriter and
pianist. After early piano, dance and solfège lessons and enrollment at the
Benedetto Marcello Music Conservatory, she moved to Rome at seventeen where she
began performing at the Piper Club, earning the nickname “la ragazza del Piper.”
Her first single, "Ragazzo triste" (1966), introduced her to the Italian market
