Godwijn June Orlando Ray Rollocks, known professionally as Pappa Bear, was born
in Curaçao, Dutch Antilles. He began his career as a chef, completing his
apprenticeship as the top student and becoming a Chef de Cuisine. In the early
1990s, he assisted his sister Daisy Rollocks, better known as Daisy Dee, with
her music production before joining the group Black Male, with whom he released
three songs. Pappa Bear signed with Booya Music in 1996, a label founded by Toni
Cottura, Bülent Aris, and Holger Storm. His breakthrough came in the fall of
