Osvaldo Montes
Argentine composer Osvaldo Montes was born in Buenos Aires in 1952. During the
1970s, he relocated to Paris and formed the folkloric group Los Calcachis, which
toured Europe with Mercedes Sosa. After settling down in Montréal in the 1980s,
he began writing original music for Canadian TV shows such as Legends Indiennes
du Canada, Le Defi Mondial, Ingenierie Cent Ans, Points Chauds, and Services
Secrets. The 1990s found him working closely with the Argentine film industry,
scoring critically acclaimed movies such as El Lado Oscuro del Corazón, Cenizas
del Paraíso, Tango Feroz, and ...
