Pastor and gospel singer Norman Hutchins was born in Dover, Delaware, on
September 27, 1962. He began preaching at the age of eight and was ordained
pastor in Laurel (Delaware) at the age of twelve. When he was nineteen, he moved
to Pennsylvania with his first wife Michelle to preach at the Hope Church of God
in Christ (COGIC), before moving to Los Angeles and then back to Delaware, where
