Naomi Tamura, born on December 11, 1963, in Nagoya, Japan, is a Japanese
singer-songwriter. She began her career in show business after graduating from
high school when her band STEP passed an audition for CBS Records. The band
later changed their name to PEARL and released eight original albums, two
compilation albums, and a dozen singles before disbanding in 1993. Tamura made
her solo debut in 1994 with the single "Jiyuu no Hashi". Her breakthrough came
