Nadje Noordhuis, born in 1977 in Sydney, Australia, is a musician, trumpeter,
and composer. She began her musical journey with classical piano lessons at age
three, later adding the trumpet during her school years. Noordhuis initially
trained as a sound technician before moving to Melbourne to study at the
Victorian College of the Arts. In 2003, she relocated to New York City to pursue
a master's degree in jazz trumpet at the Manhattan School of Music. Noordhuis'
