Clifford Smith, known professionally as Mr. Vegas, was born on December 29,
1974, in Surrey, Kingston, Jamaica. He is a Jamaican singer and singjay who
blends elements of rap, toasting, and singing into his unique style. Mr. Vegas
began his music career after being discovered by producer Don Yute in 1996. His
breakthrough came in 1997 with the hit single "Nike Air", which he recorded
while recovering from a jaw injury. This success led to the release of his debut
