Born in Annapolis, Maryland, on October 28, 1995, McKinley Dixon grew up in the
Jamaica neighborhood of New York, before moving to Chicago. After studying at
Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, he turned to rap under the
influence of soul, gospel and jazz, which informs his arrangements. He released
